Templates & Git publishing

Your design. Your repository. Your hosting choice.

Import any HTML site — from your agency, from a Claude design or by hand. Sentra CMS finds the content and makes it editable, then publishes a fast static site to your own Git repository.

In practice

What it looks like on a normal day

  • When

    An editor clicks Publish

    Then

Sentra CMS commits the change to the city’s own repository with a readable message; the host deploys it in seconds.

  • When

    A redesign needs sign-off

    Then

A preview deploy on its own branch gives council a link to the new look while the live site stays untouched.

  • When

Last Friday’s publish broke a page

    Then

Roll back with one click — a new commit restores the earlier version.

Templates

Designers keep full control

Upload a zip, import from a URL or connect a Git repository. Editors change words and photos; layout and CSS stay with the designer.

  • Automatic region tagging, reviewed by a person
  • Templates must pass the accessibility scan to publish
  • Theme colors are contrast-checked as you pick them

Publishing

One repository per city

Every publish is a commit with a readable message. Your host deploys from the repository — or Sentra CMS hosts it. Roll back any publish with a new commit.

  • Preview deploys for drafts and redesigns
  • GitHub, GitLab, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, SFTP, S3 or hosted by us
  • Deploy keys generated for you; private keys stay encrypted

Questions

Do we have to use Git?

No. Sentra CMS can host the site, or push it over SFTP or to cloud storage. Git is there for teams that want a full history in their own account.

Can we leave?

Yes. Your site is already static files in your own repository, and every page, document and form can be exported.
