City of Fulton, Mississippi
Fulton, a small city in Northeast Mississippi, is our launch city. Here’s how its website moved to Sentra CMS — and what we learned.

By the numbers
A new design, an old site, and a pile of PDFs
Fulton had a new homepage design and an older site with forms, budgets and notices as PDFs. Its meetings already ran on CivicCA and its service requests on Sentra 311.
- Design imported as Template #1 — editors got simple fields
- Upcoming meetings shown live from CivicCA
- Report a Problem connected to Sentra 311

Fixing documents instead of hiding them
Of the 42 PDFs, 19 passed the automated check. The other 23 — untagged files and scanned images — were held in draft rather than published inaccessible.
- Held documents show residents an ‘accessible copy on request’ page
- Rate tables are candidates for conversion to web pages
- Remediation queued through SentraCheck

Answers by address
My City shows each resident their ward, trash day and polling place; alerts go out by banner and email; and search answers from pages, PDFs and minutes.
- Emergency templates reviewed in English and Spanish
- Accessible permit application replaces a fillable PDF
- Every old link still works

What we learned
- Start with the documents: they’re where most of the accessibility work is.
- Facts like phone numbers and hours belong in one place, not on 20 pages.
- Live data from systems the city already uses (meetings, 311) keeps the site current without extra work.
Figures are from the Fulton import as of November 2026. Fulton’s full go-live on Sentra CMS is part of our pilot schedule.
