Sentra CMS vs Revize
A fair comparison for cities choosing a website platform. Revize builds websites for local governments and offers its own content management system.
How to compare
We don’t list another company’s features here — they change, and the vendor is the right source. Instead: what Sentra CMS does, and the question to ask Revize.
| What to compare | Sentra CMS | Questions to ask Revize |
|---|---|---|
| WCAG 2.1 AA checks that block publishing | Yes — pages, documents, forms, widgets, themes and imported templates | Ask whether checks block publishing or only report afterwards |
| Inaccessible PDFs held until fixed | Yes, with SentraCheck remediation or convert-to-page | Ask what happens when an editor uploads an untagged PDF |
| Bring your own HTML design | Yes — import a zip, URL, Git repository or Claude design | Ask whether you can use a design from any agency |
| Publish to your own Git repository | Yes, one repository per site, with rollback | Ask how you’d leave and what you’d take with you |
| Emergency mode | Yes — one switch, reviewed templates, light emergency page | Ask how fast the homepage changes in a crisis |
| Meetings integration | CivicCA built in; others by link | Ask which agenda systems connect |
| AI that only drafts | Yes — assistant changes are drafts with a before/after | Ask what AI can change without a person approving |
| Append-only audit log | Yes — people, API keys and the assistant | Ask whether the log can be edited by admins |
| Pricing | By quote; discounts for current customers of our products | Ask for multi-year totals including migration and training |
